CityCenter
Las Vegas, Nevada

CityCenter comprises a 67-acre community of luxury towers, retail and entertainment space, convention center, gaming facilities, and residential buildings. This is one of the largest sustainable developments in the world and earned six U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Gold certifications. Two 300 ton Manitowoc 2250 crawler cranes operated simultaneously to position the convention center clear span trusses which measured an astonishing 20 ft deep by 220 ft long with an average weight of 208 tons each.

Cantilevered trusses support the glass garden wall system with no bearing on the ground. Two complex radius porte-cochères adorn the entrances. The skills and craftsmanship of Southwest Steel are present throughout this impressive and massive project.
